Mt/R will go through more soupy mud than the BFG MT's. I have first hand experience in that. The BFG's have zero sipping and square lugs. So they dont clean very weill. The MT/R's have more triangular edges on teh lugs, cuts through and clears teh mud out of the tread much better. If you ask me, when you buy a BFG, your buying the name. If you MUST have the BFG MT, go get the Mastercraft Courser MT's. They are the EXACT tire and half the cost. I ran them for 25000 miles and they had LOTS of tread lift left. The pics I will be showing you, will be with the Mastercrafts. Again, its a matter of pfreference, but the MT/R's will go where the BFG will and more.

The kind of mud that I'm usually in is that real greasy ****. You know the stuff. The tires fill up instantly as soon as you start to spin and it's hard to get going after that happens. It sticks to your shoes in big clumps like a giant dog turd, and it's so greasy that you can just about slip and fall if you have to get out of the truck.

Stock truck, stock wheel.
Stock truck with 8" wide wheels
285 with T-bar crank VS stock HD
Sorry. Thought I had more pics. You might be able to get an idea though.

Looks good. The first picture that says stock truck with stock wheels, are those 285/75s? I heard it wears some of the front end stuff when cranked up like that, is that true?
I still can't decide which tires to get. I'm so indecisive.

When I had my rims put on, the guy in the bay next to me was putting 285/75/16's on the stock steel rims and had not rub problems at all after install, no lift, no torsion crank, not even a 4x4. He had buckshot maxxis mudders put on and it looked pretty sick, I asked him about them and he said last pair he had lasted over 50k miles before he sold the truck and still had tread, I researched up on them around and my neighbor had a set on his expedetion and he said same thing, last set he had lasted over 50k miles. I haven't heard anything bad about these tires you may want to check into them, supposedly real quiet and has a very deep tread, 20/32.
Heres the link.

You dont need to crank much if any. As long as you dont crank to where the CV boots are stretched, your OK!! You only need to crank if you get 8" wide wheels.
