3rd brake light

Default 3rd brake light

My 3rd brake light won't work... Checked every fuse and none blown.. Changed a few just to double check.. My rear brake lights work so i know it's not module.. Any suggestions??

This would be what I would check next. It's just two phillips headed screws to pop the light out, and there's 2 bulbs in there.

its a led light and tested it with battery and its fine

doesnt power pass through the dash switch so you can turn on the cargo light? Maybe a problem there???

Do you still have the factory brake light assy? Plug it in and see if it works. You may need resistors or something to use the LED brake light assy.

The cargo light works.. And I tried factory assembly.. Still no brake lights

If the fuses are all good, and the factory unit doesn't work, you probably have an open circuit somewhere. Check for power and ground and see what's missing...do you have a digital multi-meter? You can use a test light in this instance though, since it's a simple lamp circuit.

it seems to be a common problem...i have a few gauges runnin off of my fuse panel-doubt that is the problem. if i find the solution i will post
