Thought this part of the forum would be a better place for this:

Ok, so I finally found an LM4 5.3 V8 out of an 04 GMC Envoy to swap into my 2000 RCSB 1500 4x4 and I think I've got all the compatability issues worked out except for the throttle assy. as the LM4 is dbw and my 4.3 is cable. I think I'm going to want to stick with a cable system so I dont have to change the pedal assy, etc thats already in the truck as I can see that its not just take the cable pedal out put the dbw pedal in kind of thing when I compare my '00 to my brothers '06. So, am I going to be able to just remove all the wiring components for the dbw from the harness and be ok, or am I looking at swapping the Envoy harness for a 99-02 silverado harness? If I do switch to the cable system the ecm is probably going to have to be either swapped for a 99-02 silverado one or re-flashed correct? Also, can anyone confirm if the motor mounts were the same between the envoy/silverado?

Not sure about the harness, but I know for sure that the PCM will need to be re-flashed if not replaced. I'm sure that the harness can be altered if necessary, just not sure how involved it is. Can't help with the motor mounts either, but if you do decide to go cable, I have a cable driven throttle body that I'd be willing to sell you, just hit me up with a PM if interested

Thanks for the input, I'm thinking my best bet will be tracking down a 99-02 silverado harness/ecm and throttle body and selling off the envoy stuff. I'll probably be talking to you about the tb...
