could my 4.8 beat a lighting once i get the procharger on??

It would be pretty close, your gonna ned a damn good tune. Stock lightnings with a descent driver run mid 13's all day.

I've beat several stock lighting's at the track with my 4.8

the problem is, you never see bone stock lightings. they always have at least a pulley and intake, which makes a BIG difference. i would say, you might be able to keep up with a stock one, but not beat it....

So true.

The truth of it is that very few people that are interested in racing will leave anything stock for very long. If you find a Lightning at the track - that usually means he's testing yet another performance mod. If you actually find a stock Lightning on the street, he usually isn't interested in speed and won't race you anyway.

Dang hotrodders..... you just can't count on them to leave things alone!
