408's first Lightning roast...*vid*
POPS#2 and myself went to a Lightning roast last night. We roasted 2 Lightnings. He ran a Generation1 Lightning first who for about 5 years had not been beaten.POPS#2 with his 99 SCSB 2WD/6.0 won by several lengths thru the 1/4.
The second race I ran a 2004 Lightning that had several mods including a KB blower I have been told. His reputation was for the fastest truck in a 4 county area. We ran on a back country road and it was pitch black dark. Guess we should have had the camera on night vision so the video is more of a sound affects than a visual but you can see how far ahead I was. I calculated that I trapped about 116-118 mph. I spun the 28x10.5 M/T's all the way thru 1st and a long ways in 2nd.
This is what the long hours and spending buckets of money are all about!

I just wanted to share the story. Stated up front the video was more of a sound effects than a visual because of the darkness. There will probably be a rematch one day and it will be in the daylight. The f#*d boys didn't take the losing with a smile.
