Default 4x4 to 4x2 conversion - Tranfert Case Delete, no more speedo

I've delete the transfert case of my 2000 Suburban for a 4x2 conversion. (less weight and I don't use the 4x4).

I've delete the transfert case (it's empty).
I've got no more speedo and the sub stay stuck in first gear. (abs light)

I've read there is 2 VSS sensors in the transfert case.
No DTC.

What Can I do ?

Well, you should've also installed a new output shaft and tail housing on that transmission of yours that has a provision for a VSS. Install the VSS plug from the harness on that sensor location (make sure it's got the correct pin out...) Did you get the PRND321 selector installed correctly on the transmission gear selector shaft?

Did you also remove the front differential case, CV axle shafts, and convert the hubs over to 2WD hubs from a torsion front suspension style truck/suv? Those ABS sensors on the new hubs need to be hooked up correctly.

I've got the 4wd service light on and no speedo (stuck in first gear)

I have removed the différential case and keep the output saft and tail housing.

I've got 2 Vss on the transfert case, I've unplug the front one and keep the rear Vss.

About the front hubs, I've kept the stock one and I've modified them.(The front ABS sensor stay stock).

How can I disable the 4WD fonction ? Do I really need a need tail housing for a new VSS provision?
Is there a specific PCM wiring for 2WD (and work with my rear Vss on my empty tranfert case?

Removal of the front differential case.

Hubs modifications:

there a 4wd control module inside the dash back behind the speedometer that you will have to unplug to to essentially ( castrate) your truck of its 4wd abilities, once its unplugged your truck will think its a 2wd, and will no longer have the "service 4wd" light. Should also proceed to shift normally after this

I've just unplugged the Transfert Case Module Control (TCMC).
No more 4WD Service Light !!!

but ... still no speedo and still stuck in fist gear ...

My Vss is the stock 4wd Vss on the transfer case.

I've just read (search finctuin)

"James B.09-18-2005, 01:16 AM
Going from 2WD to 4WD is easier than going the other way. You will need an output shaft assembly. The 2WD version has a reluctor ring on the output carrier and a rear VSS that the 4WD version does not have. Leave those components in the trans but the rear VSS will not be used. (4WD versions have a plug where that VSS is)
"

Where is location the rear VSS on the 2wd version ?

Are you using the correct vss sensor from your auto trac case? I know when I swapped to a manual case for a while there was more then 1 vss. Are you still running the 4l60e with the 4wd tailhousing and out put shaft?

Yep, I'm still using the 4L60E with the 4wd tailhousing and outputshaft.

There is 3 Vss. (1 front and 2 back).
The front is unplugged and I've try to unplug both 2 rear rear ... still no speedo ...
