5.3 4l80 converter and blower
So I’ve been dragging through a slow build. It’s a cc 4x4. Rebuilt 5.3, truck Norris, 13/4 LT’s. All the basics. I had been on the fence about what FI I want to go with. It’s seeming more like an lsa since I did the long tubes. I have re geared the truck to 410’s and added a true trac. The converter I currently have is a yank pt3200 multi disc. I guess my question/looking for opinions is. Does anyone think that converter is too loose for a blower like that? I’ve driven it some here recently and while having a 4l80 and a converter is new to me. I’m just a little bit worried it may be too loose for my liking. lol granted I get trans tuning and playing with lockup is an option. Looking for thoughts on this.

No, it’s not too loose. You will be fine, the cam still dictates what converter for the most part. I ran a 3600 for the past 2 years, It was fun but I got tired of it and went to a 2850.
