5.3 swap into an '86 S-10....seriously
Anyone know all that is involved to put the LS1-based motors into an S10 ??, I have done 3 pre-'96 small-block S-10 swaps before and they're pretty straight-forward....as long as you have all the S-10 specific swap parts (motor mounts, C3 Vette radiator, headers, etc...)
I was GIVEN a totally straight '86 S-10 (2.8 V6, clean interior, spotless paint, new brakes, no broken galss...hell, the thing looks amost new except for the blown tranny).......I figure all it really needs is a V8 and 4-speed auto to be perfect again, and since I HATE carbs I figure I'll go fuel-injected.....what better way to go fuel-injected than to use the best factory system available (and....of course....the motor that goes along with the fuel-injection system)
I know I can get info from www.s10v8.com but it's a pay site and unless there is ALOT of good info there I'll just keep searching until I find what I need
TIA
