I just went cheap and crappy with mine, and put it on the column(I have a 4-speed) It isn't exactly pretty but it gets the job done until i can get them in the dash like 1badc10's

if you got the money i would get the autometer ultimate 2 since your going with top mount

i dont have 600 to spend on a tach at all....that plus i dont have a need for it, i just need something thats big and easy to read and has a shift light

On my sandrail I have a recall tach with a shift light, I wish I would have just bought the shift light because I never look at the tach I just keep an eye out for the light to come on.

well, up until I saw that you want a shift light I was going to say go with a factory one....sourced from ebay of course. I always liked the factory look the best, very rare, but nice. The tach choice you're going for is good if you want a shift light. I'm thinking auto-meter ultra-lite's for my future gauges. I love the white-faced look.

i love the white face look as well, but it wouldnt go with my interior at all, since its red, tan and black
