I only have internet access on the weekends! LOL I'll get my laptop fixed so I get on here during the week.
I can't wait to get the turbo on my new ride! This engine has a low oil presser problem. I might turn the boost up till it pops! That'll give me the excuse to dig my forged short block out of storage! LOL

They just eat a ton of oil, but other than that great engines.

milage depends on where you live and how you drive.

Say a 8100 in callie with 4:10 might get 15-17 mpg. One in CO might get 8.

We live in the mountains of VA/TN. my friends gets 12.4-12.8 ever trank with a short bed extra bad and normal driver.

I drive faster with a crew cab, 6.0L 4:!0 gears and stock tires. get 11.1 mpg.

496 no matter what will NEVER get better than 12mpg. Even that would be down hill coasting with the wind at your back.

No one is buying an 8.1L engine for fuel economy (I hope ).

Mine uses absolutely no oil at all between oil changes. I use Mobil1 5w30 synthetic. I have 30k on it now.

Wow!
When did Big Blocks start needing defenders!
A non-believer just needs one trip around the block with one to see the light...
