Default 9.5" diff with a B4V option?

Got a question my dealer can't answer.
In 05 the B4V Silverado Performance package included the 9.5" rear end. The brochure for 06 says you get the 9.5" with the NHT package but it doesn't say anything about the B4V package including this rear end. I can't see GM putting a 6.0 Max/VHO engine in a truck with a standard 1/2 ton diff? I ordered my truck on Friday but the salesman couldn't tell me if the 9.5" rear was included. He's checking but I thought I would ask here too. BTW GM won't let me put a trailer hitch on this truck (6.0 MAX 06 ECSB LS with B4V, 20" wheels) unless I upgrade to the LT. I need the hitch but I don't want the leather and the On Star. I'm buying a hitch and the 8 lead harness and installing it my self.
Thanks
Jim

gm sells that hitch kit at an unreal deal over the counter anyway. that's the kit i'd recomend using. it comes with all the elctrical parts that are just plug and play as well as the hitch and all attaching hardware needed. as for the rear diff, all 06's with the LQ9 engine are now getting the 9.5" rear diff. the 05' B4V trucks were the first to come with them. right now we have 2 NHT vortec max trucks at work and one B4U silverado ss (intimidator edition) at work and all 3 have the 9.5" rear diff.

Vortec Max, They really messed up a good thing ...... Zippy got it, the '05 B4V, and the B4U options got the 14 bolt 9.5" rearend. Mine got the trailer hitch and that is ironic since that will be part of the "Weight Reduction Program" for the track..... The '05 Performance Editions were meant for one thing.... RACING! just wish they put it in a single cab. Now anybody wanting a badge can get the truck ...... Nothing personal, just prefer the truck as a rare racing option not including the Z71's, Crew Cab's, and all the others...
