Every now and then I am haveing my my ABS light and parking break light come on at the same time sometimes they go off but mostly stay on most of the time. Just wondering if anyone knows what might be happening?

Mine is doing it now because I just put my 4.10's in but when I get my truck tuned for them they should go away. Have you changed out your gears or anything like that lately?

I see the, "just got a built 4L65e from Maddog Transmissions", double check the connection to the vehicle speed sensor, which is on the transmission tailshaft. The reading from the VSS determines the abs reading for the rear wheels and if it's not making a good connection it may be the problem. other than that a gear change or failing abs unit would be the next culprits suspected, but usually when the abs unit goes it just flat out goes.

mine comes on when I get over 120MPH..
all I do is turn the truck off, coast for a second, and then restart it..
lights go off,
I would have to agree, it probably has to do with the vss in the tail shaft

there is a recall on this problem in the northeast states, "high corrosion areas". the reason is, but i'm not saying that it's the only reason, is that there is a problem with your speed sensor in your front wheels. all you should have to do is either live with it or change it out and i think they run around 75 to 125 each. i have this problem also but i am waiting on gm to do a recall. anyways they are supposedly adding new states to the recall list but i doubt it will come here anytime soon.
