adding fog lights?

Default adding fog lights?

i want to add fog lights to my girls 99 silverado, what else does it look like im missing.

lower valence
lights
switch
wiring harness

has anyone ever done this? is it pretty hard?

I believe that on the 99-00's (maybe even up to 03), you have to get the BCM programmed by the dealer to make the foglights work, unless you hard wire them separate from the factory system.

I did mine in my 99 a few years back and paid $100 bucks for the kit , it comes with lamps , harnes and switch . I had to have the dealer program them to work w/the factory switch or just wire them yourself and save $70 bucks

hmmmm, that is a good point, wiring it myself would be the same as the computer. There isnt anyone on here that can program those comps?

might you remember the kit number by any chance man?

I used the GM foglight kit. I cut the holes in the air dam myself with my dremel and installed everything. Then I took it to the dealer to have the comp programmed for $40. Everything works great

To answer the computer question...No, no-one on here has the ability to program the BCM (Body Control Module), since it doesn't affect performance nobody cares about changing stuff in it
