Alternator, old 105A is dying
My old one is on its way out, the volt gauge is fluctuating while driving and the lights are dimming. Truck said battery not charging when started up at first.
I currently have a 03 RCSB 2wd with a 5.3L and 105A alt.
I was hoping I could upgrade to the 145 or 130A model.
All I would need would be the AD244 alt (130-145A) and the serp belt for the higher amp alternator correct?
The alternators I was considering were:
Tuff Stuff 145A alternator from summit
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFF-8237/
or the 130A from DB Electrical.

I am on a tight budget since I'm going to school still, I want something good an not crap.
All input is appreciated, thank you.

when I was looking on the parts website the 145A option uses a 93 5/8" belt while the 105A uses a 92 7/8" belt, so I was thinking I needed a longer belt, plus my serpentine belt is cracked anyway.
