you cant get a vortex max with a 3.23,come on guys ,am i right?

Are they going to drop in a LQ9&m32 (4L65E or M70) since it doesnt have the 4.10s from the factory?

M70=4x4 vortexmax M32=2x4 LQ9 option 4L65E

The Vortec Max comes two ways. B4V = 6.0 LQ9 with M32 (4L65E) and 3.73's or NHT = 6.0 LQ9 with M70 and 4.10's I tried to order the NHT along with 20" wheels but GM would not allow me to order it that way. If you want the 20 inchers you gotta go with the B4V???? They couldn't tell me why but the dealer is guessing that the 20 inch wheels won't hold up to the towing capacity of the NHT???

Also I have a close friend that works at the GM truck plant in Oshawa Ontario. He tells me that it's not the plant closure and layoff situation that's causing problems. These closures and layoffs aren't going to happen for over a year. Apparently there was a lot of rail car and track damage due to storms and floods. Toyota is said to be paying a premium to get their stuff delivered and GM won't pay it. Any vehicles built in the US or in Canada for the US are being stock piled everywhere. Once the transportation problem is delt with you guys should get your trucks.

Thanks for clearing that up,but there is no 3.23s availible with a LQ9 ,that was my point.I wonder what they are selling this guy,One more thing in a 4x4 vortexmax 4.10 is the only option.

Yeah. I was talking about 2WD only. The 3.23's could be dealer installed but I can't see them doing it. There is a lot more to this than just changing the gears. GM doesn't have a program for this ratio and the engine being used. You would have to custom program it. I wouldn't put 3.23's on that truck if I were you. You wanna be at a higher RPM for mileage. In my old truck I switched from 3.08's to 3.73's and my mileage improved tremendously. It was more responsive and much more fun to drive too.

I actually went down to the dealer last wednesday after I heard about the problems with gm, and the situation with my truck build.
I told them if they didnt find me a truck, I wanted my deposit back and I would go right down to the Dodge dealer and get a truck from them and drive away with it in a day or two.
That got them dead set on finding me a truck, so they widened (sp?) there search and found me a similar truck in N.H.
Its basically the same minus the color and the gearing.... but I did walk away knowing its got the LT package not the LS for about the same price I was gonna get the original for.
I told them If they got this truck for me I wanted them to put in a sliding rear window, colormatch the handles (summit white) all around, and change the gearing from its 3.23's , to 4.10's
They told me it would all get done once they got the truck in.
I guess they figured if it would make me happy, and make them money without losing my sale they would do it.
If all goes well, the dealer in N.H. will get the request on monday, and I could have the truck in a week from then at the latest.

If the truck he is getting has 3.23s I dont think he is getting a LQ9 in that truck.

yea, not getting the LQ9, I personally dont like extended cabs, I like standard cabs much more. Although the LQ9 would be nice, I'll take the LM7 in my Standard Cab. Just look in my sig.
And As I said in that earlier post the dealer will be installing 4.10's. Everything Warrentied
Not trying to rant on anyone for there choice in vehicle set up, I just started this thread to find out if anyone was getting there sights set on the 06's.
