just wanted to post back the results of adding acetone to my gas.I noticed no gains with cheaper brands gas IESpirit gas station). Now with Exxon I got +3 miles per gallon better adding 2 ounces of acetone per 10 gallon.
this is in my '02 silverado 2500 ecsb 6.0 liter and 3.73 gears = 100% bone stock

I've done it off and on for the last year or so, It does seem to get a 1 or 2 more MPG's (about 10%) when I do. Not really an issue with spilling it on your paint, I have and it didn't hurt anything, evaperats to quickly. The theory behind it is that the acetone breaks down the surface tension of the gasoline and allows it to vaporize better resulting in a more efficient burn.
