Audi RS8... i think they're fast!
Comin' home from work yesterday I was running a late 90's F-150 down the interstate and was kicking his a$$ and then a black Audi RS8 decided he wanted some and i don't think i had enough for him (without spray) cause from 80 he instantly pulled 2 lenghts but it leveled off after 100... i think he way just playin' around. Anyone know anything about those cars???

Didn't know they made an 'RS8'....I thought all they had were RS6's and an S8. I know the RS6 is a turbo/intercooled 4.2L V8 that makes in excess of 400 HP/TQ, but I don't know about an RS8.

I got a good look at his rear... i swore it said RS8! I did some research and only found developmental versions of the RS8 on some Audi fan sites... it either has a W12 or a 5.0l motor out of a Lambo in pre-production runs. I can;t find anything about it on Audi's website, I know it was quick and that's about it.

This information is from the August issue of CAR, the British car magazine (along with Evo, which really a bible for performance car enthusiasts).
According to CAR, Audi is planning an S8 that will be "powered by a detuned 420bhp version of the 5.0 V10 from the Lamborghini Gallardo. The RS8 is expected to use a biturbo (!) version of Audi's 6.0 W12 that should make 500bhp plus."
Both these engines are expected to be in the rumored A8 Sportback, which will be the big estate (wagon) version of the A8; it is expected to arrive in late 2006. Oh, and the Sportback, according to the article, will be available in ONLY the S8 and RS8 versions!
