bad ARP's ?

Default bad ARP's ?

i go to torque down my header ARP's 10mm bolts and the socket wont stay on the heads for some reason something is not right here. the bolts when in my hand fit the sockets but when i torque them the socket comes off
maybe im doing something wrong

your socket is bad , try anothe one just be sure its from the bolts

yep...need a 12 point socket, not the normal 6 point, 10mm I think.

i had the same problem. its either your using a cheap 12 point socket or an old one thats been put through hell.

i went and bought a new one and problem was solved. my second build time i went with stage 8's locking fastners. 6 point and they have an 7mm allen head in the middle. work really slick

i was thinking it might have some thing to do with the POINTS in the socket just couldnt see it im gonna try some thing different..............THANKS


on a side note i use Craftsman sockets

Where did you find these bolts?
ARP's catalog only lists a 12 point stud kit (in stainless) for the LS engine.

I wanted a bolt kit but couldn't find that ARP made one, which surprised me.

this guy recommended this size bolt and this is whats im using
