Bad window motor or regulator?

One thing to do is install the bolts about finger tight. Put the window up all the way as high as it will go, and it will shift/slide at the bolts. Tighten the bolts the rest of the way, and you shouldn't have a problem with it going up and down slow.

I bought both regulators from the dealer (at different times), without the motors, as they were considerably cheaper than the assemblies, and the motors are working fine. The aftermarket offers assemblies that are less expensive than the oem regulators alone, but unfortunately I've never heard any good about the aftermarket units, and they usually fail in one way or another, in less than 6 months after installation. I've read of guys replacing their aftermarket units two or three times before finally ponying up the dough and springing for a factory unit.

Im gonna give this a shot thanks for the heads up... I need to pull the piece of wood out of there that I forgot about when I changed everything out... 2 years ago.
