OP I found out awhile back that East Penn Manufacturing, manufacturers the Orilley's brand batteries and East Penn also makes DEKA batteries which are well known to be Dependable.

I run a Orilley's Super start battery atm, if that tells you anything.

A lot of car audio guys use the Deka batteries in serious car audio vehicles, as they are very reliable and are not overly expensive.

Dontlast Foolsgold will leave you in a dark parking lot in a bad section of town. Don't go there

I personally use Optima Yellowtops. I don't particularly care for the Redtops longevity but the new and old Yellowtops are very reliable. One will also start your truck long after you've run a standard car battery or Redtop completely dead.

I have sold every battery on the market and my favorite is the Duralast. Lots of warranty, last a long time, and never far from an Autozone if you kill it.

Still rocking my Optima red top for over 4 years now, never even needed a jump (knock on wood).

my yellow top optima went 5 years till it died (and royally fucked up things...tested fine until under load)...have heard quality has dropped since johnson controls bought them.
