Trading her in is an option if you just don't feel good about your truck anymore, but it's probably gonna cost you something pretty. Get a hold of "HOLTY" on here. He had the same issue maybe he can tell you a thing or two or your options.

i work for a body shop we fix frames on 2500 3500 rams and gmc's all day long make sure they give u frame specs before and after they have to provide that to you just so u know in michigan we can be within 2-3 mils of spec up,down, left, right. the trucks we fix still tow large loads with no problem but be sure to ask for print offs from the computer. if you r still not sure take the print off to another shop have a frame guy look at it he will tell u if it looks bad good luck

I do and don't feel good... On one hand, I'm in love with the truck (except the fact that it needs to be about 4 inches taller). On the other hand, I'm terrified of popping this thing in 4wd this winter, and hearing gears grinding with damage to the transfercase.

Vandy, do you reinforce the frames? Or are they considered good after stretched?

Ok, so I've worked around body shops in the past at few dealerships when I was younger and now I do alot of metal fab and such In my current job. I am by no means an expert in frame work but I do have knowledge in building things from steel so that peoples lives, including mine, depend on the strength of your work, so... If your worried about the frame the I would recommend looking into boxing it?? Very simple to do!! and also very strong!!

we can but have not like lowblack99 said you can box the frame. what insurance company do you have? if we do a repair like that and something comes up and its related to the claim we call in the supplement to the ins comp. remember you are the ins company's customer you can bitch a fit and you will get your way. how much was the claim for ? just curious

they only quoted $2500... I'm not sure that includes the extent of the frame pulling though. The collision center I went to called in for a supplement which should be done monday... So I'm still in the dark as to what exactly is going on.
