Default Best radar detector for your money?

I've been looking at radar detectors lately and can't really decide what to buy. I dont want to spend an arm and a leg on one so I'm looking for the best one for your money. The valentine's are a little pricey. The escort passport looks cool. How good are the beltronic vectors? Cobra? My girlfriend has a radioshack one that works really well.

Default My experience.

My only experience has been with Escort (Passport). I don't remember the model as I don't use it any more. I was very pleased with it though and I'm sure they have only gotten better since I used mine.

I did get a ticket with it one time though. But honestly I don't think the dude shot me with radar. He wouldn't show it to me on his gun. Said is was already erased.

I'm not saying Escort (Passport) is the best, but I was very happy with mine.

Just remember...In most situations you get what you pay for. Valentine is expensive, but you can't beat the information it gives you about direction of the radar signal. IMO
