Nitro drop shocks are ok. They're kinda stiff in the rear cuz of how lightweight my rear end is after reducing all the weight in the back of my truck. They are stiff going over speed bumps and such but they are nice when you actually get moving.

OP: Have you modified your bump stops?

On a whim, I bought a set of the Summit-branded Ground Force shocks for mine. I'm really pleased with them.

I run KYB MonoMax on my 04 Chevy RCSB w/ 4/6 DJM and love them. They are firmer valved than the Gas-a-just shocks. My brother runs those on his 03 Ford supercrew with a 3/4 drop.

I've learned that many people have different views on what "best" is. Some like firm, some like soft.

Also, this thread is old, so technology has changed a bit.

WOW talk about old and yes you are right technology has changed.
I know some guys are running performance shock such as QA1, RideTech, Vi-king and others. But those cost more and people aren't wiling to spend the money on them.

Best money I spent so far was for coilovers. Hopefully air ride rides as good or better.
