BTW, don't put a lot of attention into those weights listed for the tires - I know the manufacturer listed them, but I'm not sure how accurate they are.

I weighed my tires when I received them:
BFG KDW 295/45-20 weighed in at 39lbs
BFG KDW 265/50-20 weighed in at 37lbs
Goodyear GT II 265/50-20 (I bought for the spare) weighed in at 43lbs!
Yikes those GT II's are heavy.

Unless you changed them already.

Well, if your wheels are at least 8.5" wide (which I think they are), try on a 305/50 VR20 for size. That will keep you at 32" tall and much wider. Of course being on a stock rim, you'd probably have to put some fender flares on to make it look good, or maybe not.

no thanks on the fender flares, I wont buy tires that stick out so i'll just not worry about 305s. 295's should do it.

do a measurement, just to be sure you need to rule out the 305's. The sidewall would be 1" more on the outside and the inside. Check the inside rear for an inch clearance between the current sidewall and inner fender, springs, frame, etc. For the outside use a level and a tape measure to see how far outside the fender (if any) one more inch of sidewall would put you.

The GY Forterra's 285/50/20 ($195.00ea) overall diameter is: 31.3"/ tread wear rating 620 A A/ 48lbs ea/ H speed rating/ and offers a 70,000mi treadwear warranty.
GY Eagle GT II 285/50/20 ($135.00ea) overall diameter: 31.2"/ tread wear rating: 420 A A/ 39lbs ea/ H speed rating/ No mileage warranty on tread wear. Only manufacturer defect warranty.
The BFG g-force T/A KDW 295/40/20 ($290.00ea) have a rolling diameter of: 29.5"/ tread wear rating: 300 AA(excelent traction) A/ 37lbs ea/ Y (high speed rating)/ No mileage warranty, only manu defect warranty. These tires get excelent traction but the trade off is short tread life and expensive.
BFG g-force T/A KDW 2 295/45/20 ($240.00ea) rollin dia of: 30.5"/ tread wear rating: 300 AA A/ 41lbs ea/ V speed rating/ No mileage warranty only manufacturer defect warranty. Short tread life and expensive.
The 285/50/20's will be quite a bit closer to the O.E. rolling diameter.
The KDW's will have a better performance factor, but for the money spent on them, they don't last that long. You might get 20,000mi out of them if your lucky.
Just really depends on what he's looking for exactly.
Dave, be more specific on what you want out of a tire. If you want the BFg's, then I can get you those as well.
*Note* The lower the treadwear number the shorter the tread life. The letters following it are the traction and temperature rating. Example AA= excelent traction A= great traction and the second letter is the temperature the tire works well in. A= works well in all temps B= performs good in most temps.

Jim
My bad...i was thinking like he had stock wheels aka 16's and goin to 20's so i was figureing up for a 16 in combo to keep it the same height...my mistake.

Jim - Are the 285/50/20 you recommend roughly the same size as the Good Year 275/55/20? Do they last longer? I am about to buy some new tires cause the Good Years I have know suck and did not last that long. The outer edges went first and then the center of the tire. I don't really spin them that often cause my little truck really won't roast the tires.

How is the price difference?
