best way to remove a oil dipstick tube

Default best way to remove a oil dipstick tube

im tring to remove my oil dipstick tube and its rusted or corroded to ware i cant budge it. i got pb blaster sprayed around it right now. what are some ways i could get it out. any help would be greatly appreciated.

should be able to take the bolt out near the headers, grab it and yank... it makes it easier if you get the angle correct, but it just slides out

headers are out, thats the problem its seized in there or something. ive tried yanking it and no luck. thanks though i appreciate it

It's a bolt that threads into the head that holds the dipstick tube. Not into the headers/or manifolds if that's what you're saying.

i got that all off, i cant get the dipstick tube out of the block.

Penetrating oil. Let it sit overnight. I would try and rotate it gently. Possibly get a screwdriver or chisel in between it and the block and tap on it gently.

do you think i could heat it up some too?

i have been spraying pb blaster one it every couple of hours.

penetrating oil should get loose whatever you have...

It has an o-ring on it. Heating it would melt it an wind up in the engine I think. Mine was the same way first time I removed it. I wound up putting a set of vice grips to it and finally beating it out. Had to get a new one of course but they are cheap.

already had the vise grips on it so now it has to come out.
