There are BBK factory upgrades to be had.
Autozone shows the same calipers for a 2000 and a 2005. Whether that's correct or now I dunno.

As far as factory upgrades I see you can do a 13.5" setup from a 2020 silverado. Reman calipers and rotors put you at around 1k. That's why I was considering the baer setup at 900. They're 15s, if they work... Pry just gonna bite the bullet and return em if they don't work.

And honestly I'm a little disappointed that you don't know this off the top of your head. 🤣

I'm pretty sure you helped me a ton on my motor swap. Thanks again BTW! And I'm kidding about the brake knowledge. I appreciate any input. You're an asset for this forum for sure.

@robbieroflcopter LOL my knowledge is limited compared to some on here but thank you I've never owned an 03-07 half ton.
You can go bigger with the GM Performance brakes from an Escalade or the PPV brakes from a Tahoe.

Going back and looking through RockAuto, they do show the same calipers between the years but some aren't available for other years. I have no idea why that may be.

You also have to make sure your wheels fit if you choose to retrofit those T1XX brakes, whether they be the PPV brakes or the stock ones.

I had an '05 and ordering brakes was a headache if I didn't do my due diligence.

The brakes are bigger, not the same as 99-04. Don't listen to what Autozone's website says here, 04 is not the same disc, pad, or caliper. Period.

There are some differences between the models. For instance 05 1500 HD is different. And only the 2000s with factory single piston rear brakes match up with the 05s. This is all according to autozone. Which could be wrong. I ran through a ton of comparisons there lol.

There was a change in front calipers and rotors starting in 05 when GM went to drums in the back. That is why the Baer kits have the break. If you want to use the 15" rotor kit, you will need to use the 05+ calipers. The Wilwood kit shows 99-18 because it replaces everything and does not reuse a stock caliper like the Baer kits.
