Default bonding metal to plastic

whats best?

ive never had good luck with epoxy on other projects...but ill try again if yall say its best.

quick drying super glue didnt work even though ive always had crazy success bonding anything with superglue.

maybe jbweld? ive never used it but my dad swears by it. think it will do the job? the bond will be under some stress(high wind)

i made some brackets to keep my urithane rollpan from flapping but i dont want to stick bolts through my pan. superglue held tight until about 120. what do yall suggest?

An Epoxy, but you gotta use the right stuff. JB weld may work too. We got some stuff at work called Belzona, the would definatly work. You can glue water together with that ****. We actually use it on some of the reactors instead of welding, cause the welding can cause stress fractures.

I used a 2 part epoxy from JB Weld to install the threaded inserts into a DBW intake manifold and it worked great. I tightened my throttle cable bracket down pretty good and they held strong.

I swear by JB Weld as well... But as well as it does its job, you may as well drill a hole in the pan.

you could try fiberglassing over it. sand up the backside of the pan and then lay fiberglass over the bracket and backside of the pan and coat it up w/ resin.

Like said above, JB weld or fiberglass it. I think 'glassing it would be the strongest but JB Weld is some good stuff.
