Default Bought Toyo Proxes

I decided on the Toyo Proxes in a 275/70/16. I just got them put on yesterday. The first impression was that they were taller than the 235/75/16 Wranglers. They take up more room in the wheel well and they make my truck sit about 1-1.5 inches taller which I dont like. But let me say that they are lightyears ahead of the Wranglers in cornering and grip ability. These things have min. sidewall flex for a 70 profile tire and they grip outstanding, plus they dont squeel like a baby pig every time I turn a corner.

Did yoiu ever consider the 275/60/16"s? they are wider and only 29" tall.

I had/have some Toyos that I love when the work right. On two different road trips I had two tires come apart on me. It must be a defective batch. Right now my Toyos are is some tire lab getting checked and tested for the cause of the failure. If everything goes according to plan Toyo is going to give me a new set when they are done.

Let me know if you have ANY problems with yours.

Nope, but I will now. Thanks for telling me, now I am going to be pissed until I wear these tires out I should have known. But at least they grip and handle great. BTW, I will get some pics posted later today.

They look nice, how much did you pay for them? My factory 17s need some new tires for this winter and I'm considering the Toyo Proxes.

I paid $122 for them, I could have gotten them cheaper but I just went by a local place and they had them so I just went ahead and bought them.
