I had this happen a few times check the wires that go to the tail lights under the truck or if he has a Plug for a trailer that could be bad also.

I have just the right brake light not working. It isnt the bulb. I hear that there is a tail light circuit board. Ive been going to check it. I have been too lazy though. Its like $30... When pulling a trailer the brake lights work on the trailer but still not on my truck.

Yea it's prob the circuit board that connects to the tail lights I also have a bad one on my k2500 which is causing the brake lights not to work.

+1 on the circuit board, had it go out on my 03. Up under the bed by the rear bumper. cheap and easy.
