Ok, I have an idea. Let's let this poll run for about another 30 days or so and at the end of those 30 days the mods/admins will take the results and review them. If it is a close vote the ballots will be recounted. Any ballots with more than one hole punched or marks in both choices will be discarded....Oh wait, wrong vote.

I want to know what the arguments are for not bringing back the lounge?

We know what the arguments are for it, there was allready a post on it. I wasnt here when the lounge was but it seems like there are alot of good arguments for it and I dont see any cons other than inappropriate material which could be posted in any forum!!!
I thought thats what mods are for to help the forum not hinder it?
Or maybe its just all about control!

People just want to hang out with those they allready know whats the big deal?

I didn't vote and probably won't. If it happens, it happens. All I know is that if it does, the mods are the ones left cleaning up the mess.

The mods are supposed to help the forum by keeping things somewhat inline and enforce rules when necessary. One reason I think the lounge went away in it's old form was because many times when a mod tried to enforce a rule or keep a handle on things before they went too far outta control they were pretty much attacked. It got rediculous. This was not by all users like I stated somewhere else recently, it was only a few actually. Nonsense(there was ALOT of it) from the lounge routinely spilled over into the other truck areas at the time and it was finally decided to just rename the lounge and adjust it's focus. That is how General Truck Topics was brought about.

I've said it before and I'll say it again in case it was in one of those crazy banned threads last night that is locked. There was a TON of complaints from truck users we used to get when Lounge stuff would end up ruining a good thread. We rarely if ever get complaints now, new users are coming in everyday it seems like too. I'd say that is helping the forum and not hindering it. I think a truck lounge coming back again can help also, it's pretty obvious from the vote totals. I just hope that when it does it doesn't turn out like the last lounge.

I tried to explain why it went since you weren't here to see the chaos sometimes. If you were it would be somewhat easier to understand.

I think everybody needs to just sit back, relax a bit, let the lounge idea go for just a bit(as stated already) , and think about what their next mod is gonna be.
