Default A/C blower?

The truck is an '03 2500 HD DMax. Blower works only on the "high" position. Yesterday it worked on the high position and the next notch lower. The first three positions have been dead for several weeks. It's not the fan switch. We swapped the control panel with one from another truck and it had the same problems. What else could be the problem? TIA

I believe that in 03 the blower resistor was deleted and is now part of the ac control module, which has been known to fail causing the problem you describe.

they still have a resistor, it is close to the blower, screwed in to the case
bet if you pull it out the connector will be burnt and you will have some blown hvac fuses, there are 2 of them!!!

1GCHK29133E289399. Thanks T'Wrench. I was hoping that I didn't have to tear the blower motor out.

Bud, don't let it get to ya. In a way you were still correct. Sometimes the resistor is popularly called the AC resistor Module. But all in all it's still a cheap *** little piece of **** that causes big problems when it goes bad...lol
