A/C Snow Flake Button???

Question A/C Snow Flake Button???

What the hell is the A/C buttom with the snow flake supposed to be for?
When I turn it off, my A/C still blows cold.
What is it for????

it engages the a/c compressor....as far as I know. it shouldn't be any different on yours....are you sure you had it in the a/c position or did you have it in the defrost position?

Same thing with me I will have the AC botton OFF and have the fan on high and turn it to cold, then it still blows cold as if the AC is on....

same here. anytime the recirculate button is on, it blows cold as the A/C. what gives? like the snowflake button is for nothing.

It is definatly there to turn the compressor off and on....now if i run it for a few mins then turn the button off it will remain cold for a minute or two...but thats just the cold air getting out of the system.

If defroster is selected the A/C compressor will run regardless.

Any time recirculate is on the compressor engages as well. To turn it off you have to have recirc off and the a/c button off.

Yep they are set to run the compressor on unless you hit recirc with the fan on 0.
