I there is one it's under the pass. side of the dash. Most 04's dont have them. Remove the 2 7mm screws that hold the plastic cover on then the 5.5mm for the access door.

Thanks. I thought maybe I'd heard something (at some point) about there not being one. I was looking in a Fram catalog and it had a listing for all the 2004s.

If not,how do they filter the cabin air.

I don't think they have one. I bought a filter from the dealer one time and couldn't find the location. Question them about it (of course they thought I was stupid and had to double check) and they came to the conclusion that my truck didn't have one. Can't get to filter without removing the whole dash.

EDIT: Disregard the remove the whole dash idea.

I've been considering changing mine on my '03 and was wondering what else I should do to get rid of the dirt smell when the A/C first engages. Should I take the filter out and blow compressed air bout up through it or what would you suggest?
Figured I'd throw it in since your on the topic

I'd replace it Joshua. Check out a Chiltons manual for instructions on how to change it. It's pretty easy.

I'm going to. No question about that. I'm just asking if I should also try to blow the vents out to get all the dirt out of the system and the best way to do it.
