Yeah, the cam from a 5.3 and 4.8 are the exact same cam(exact same specs). If you wanna swap a new cam in i guess that would be fine....

In esence, this is "total bullshit."

cheap.....i dunno. What is your idea of cheap. The TR220 is a proven cam and its gonna be about $390 new. You will have to run a 3000 stall and get a tune but it will WAKE your truck up.

using 'lope' and 'bad' in the same sentence is a sin.... not what you should have said is... how GOOD is the lope... LOL....

-that cam sounds nice ... not too much lope but you can hear it a little if you listen for it.

in a 4.8 the TR220 is going to lope pretty darn good.

If you arent looking for lope but still want performance, The 01 and 02-04 Z06 cam, MTI stealth cams (might be a bit big for the little 4.8 to swallow), and a tuned comp 212/218 will flutter a bit but wont thump real hard.

The tr220 is gonna thump purty bad. BlueCajun has a vid of his. enjoy

Vinci also makes some cams that are a good upgrade over stock. They hardly have any lope, but you wont get too much high end hp out of them, they are design mostly for low end torque...thats why we like our cams lopie.

I think a Comp 212/218 114 would gain hp and tq. all around the powerband in a 4.8 and remain pretty stealty.
