Default cam with stock stall

I would like to run the comp XR265HR cam with my stock stall. How is that combo? i believe i will feel a solid increase all over the powerband, but with stock stall will i feel a loss of low end off the line or will it stay stock and maybe be better? Any negatives to this setup? I sometimes tow a utility trailer with about 4k pounds behind it, will this cam and stall setup work well with that? Or will i find the tranny downshifting alot? I heard with the one step up bigger cam which would be the next one up from the XR265HR which is the XR269HR and the stock stall with it, created the tranny to downshift alot while towing......since im going one cam size down, will that resolve that issue?

Thanks.

I have the 269 but haven't towed any with it. Your 4.10's are going to help your low end A LOT. so I'd go with either one. Dirt Track Racer had a larger cam in his ECSB with 4.10s and he towed his race car with it every weekend with no problem.

yeah i love the 4.10's but i don't want to really give up alittle low end just because i have them. I would hope to maybe gain even alittle more down low with the 265 as its a low end torque and mid range performance cam. trying to keep the truck "mild" and use it as a daily driver

I don't see why it should be a problem. Key seems to be good tune, tune, tune.
