can bad u-joints cause more problems
as usual my u-joints seem like they are going again. must be me beating on them with that yank3000. i am noticing some slight vibration on take off. i had this problem 2 years ago. if i don't replace them soon, will they cause more problems? will i ruin any of the output shaft seals due to the vibration?

GLad you asked ....
Heres what happened to me as soon as I let off on my best run witht he 60e in, 12.63 @ 107.57.
www.woracing.com/truck/driveshaft
This was all from a vibration that started up about 85 and progressively got worse as speed got higher.
I would fix the problem before it drops a driveshaft or something.

OUCH!!!!
i don't really notice it at all. it is so slight. if i do notice it, it is during the a moderate launch from a complete stop. after the first 20-40 ft, it goes away. i had this problem before. i actually took it in to get fixed. they said they had to replace both front and back ujoints. one was too tight, and the other was loose. this time i will try to replace them myself.

At the dealership where I work, we have had Allison tranny's behind the Duramax crack the tailshaft adapter between the trans and transfer case. If I were you, I would get it fixed ASAP!!
