can i swap my 27" radiator to a 34" on my 03 1500 4.8l?
hello i was wondering if anyone knows and can possibly help me on swapping out a 27" radiator to a 34" radiator, i was given a flex-a-light 282 electric fan kit for christmas last year when i was injured and was never able to install it, however the other day i went to install it and realised i have a 27" radiator not a 34"!!! and the company my dad purchased it from will not let me return it or exchange it so far. so instead of dropping another 500$ on a 292 for my 27" rad i was wondering if i could drop 200$ on a 34" and convert my 4.8l w a 27" to a 4.8l with a 34". can anyone help?!? please!!!! or does anyone want to buy a perfectly new and ready to install 282 felx-a-light fan system or trade for a 292 strait up? i know the 292 is about 60$ less and anyone that needs or wants a 282 can come up a winner on this trade or if its poss can someone help me out and tell me how i can install a 34" where my 27" resides?
thank you

It bolts right in. The holes are already there and everything. Find one from a wrecked truck. Mine was like $120. Just discard the air deflectors that fill in the empty space between your headlights and smaller radiator. Also plug up the oil cooler holes (if applicable) since your truck probably doesn't have one.

It seems like mine was only about 180 shipped for a new Silla radiator from radiatorexpress.com. I went with a 2 row core 34 inch. Bolted right in, the cooler lines and hoses actually seemed to fit it better than they did on the tiny little 28 inch radiator. I swapped radiators so I could run 05+ fans and couldn't be happier.
