Default Can a non-heated mirror be swapped with a heated one?

My mirror broke, it's not heated, and all i can find are heated for the 2003s. Will they interchange? Will the plug be the same, and the power function still work?

I don't care about the heating option working. Houston never gets cold enough to need it!

I recently had to replace a mirror on my '98 S10 Blazer. I was sruprised to find that the junkyards will sell a new aftermarket mirror for about $80 (as I recall). I think the dealer wanted $120. Got mine at a yard in Pasadena on Spencer Hwy @ the Beltway. Sorry, but I can't remember the name of it. There are several yards there along Spencer. Maybe they would have the non-heated at a better price for you.

If you want to get closer to home, try S&S Auto Salvage 281-585-3780 or Lee's Used Auto Parts 281-585-0047. Both of these are on East Hwy 6 in Alvin.

Im not sure what year they changed but they stopped having a connection behind the triangular trim piece and the wires went all the way down to the door switches (my 2005 was like this)...that would be your only problem.
