can you fit 6.5'' componet system set in the back doors of a ecsb silverado????

Default can you fit 6.5'' componet system set in the back doors of a ecsb silverado????

im wantin to know and or can ya fit the 5.25 set or??? ill do what ever it takes but before i do that i wanna make sure these speakers would actually go in there or nots

nOT REALISTICALLY. You can do it but why bother? The biggest hurdle is the depth. You don't have much to work with.

IMO just do a good 4"with plate or a shallow 5.25". You don't need the extra midbass that 6.5" give way back there. It'll ruin your staging.

so should i go then with a smaller speaker?? like the 5.25??? or should i stick with a 4x6

If you run good enough front speakers you wont be able to hear the rear ones.. I have some Infinity Kappa Plates in the back of mine i dont have them playing unless someone is with me..

My plan is to get:

Front Doors: MA Audio Y30C6 (6.5 rms150, 300watts max)(mount depth 3'')

Rear Doors: MA Audio Y30C5 (5.25 rms125, 250watts max)(mount depth 2.75'')

The amp for the doors:

MA Audio: M489i 100 to 150 rms per ch.

Sub: Kicker Solo L7 12'' 2ohm, 750rms

Sub Amp mono block of course: MA Audio HK800D, 400-800rms

Capacitor: MA Audio HKC20D, 2 farad Digital Capacitor (should be plenty of jucie )

then the head unit: Sony CDX-M8815X

I have 5.25 in the rear doors. They are MB quartz Coaxials I believe. I bought them likke 3 years ago. The guy who did it made a plate out of mdf and it sounds great. I have a 300/4 JL amp pushing them and they sound really crisp and clear.

i built a plate and put a set of 4" components back there and those are plenty loud.

I use Boston Acoustic 4x6 back there. Very happy with them.

I have alpine type x front components, and type r 5.25 rear coax. they are a little too deep, but you can make them work!
