Default car alarms

I would like to get a car alarm installed on my truck and was gonna have the dealer install one but they wanted like $800 for the stock one. anyone recommend any alarms? How much does it usually cost to get something like this installed? i was looking at this one from circuit city, http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Pytho...oductDetail.do

DEI makes the best alarms, the also make clifford and viper. I have a full featured factory alarm, made by DEI, that I got used and I am happy with it. I think new they are about $300-$350 and I was able to install it myself. First alarm install ever and it was easy. With the factory alarms, they usually just plug in. I think I only had to make one or two connections and everything else was plugs. Part number off my alarm is 19496384, its model number VSL 4200
