Default Cars are getting LS4 5.3's ??????

The GXP mission was clear: to create a new performance standard for FWD sport sedans. The all-new 303 hp 5.3L LS4 V8 uses "Displacement on Demand" (DOD) technology to deactivate half its cylinders at cruise for exceptional fuel economy. Yet an assertive thrust to the drive-by-wire throttle yields confident passing power and 0-60 times of under six seconds.

Thats the 2005 Gran Prix GXP.

It will also be available in the Monte Carlo and Impala. From what I read in an article (don't remember where the article was), the torque steer is bad.

I remember driving my ex-girlfriend's mom's car sometimes. It was a Cadillac STS, I think it had like 300hp. Really quick car for a sedan but the torque-steer was almost enough to pull the wheel out of your hands!! I imagine it would be even worse on one of these cars.

I remember reading that Cadillac went to equal-length axles years ago with the Northstar engines. It reduced it some.

High hp and fwd sucks!

it also has wider tires on the front than it does on the back..... might look kind of queer, but its supposed to help with understeer and handling.

I killed one of the new pontiacs with that v8 in it. He hung through first to around 40 mph after that it was over. Nice looking car dude was pissed, him with his paper tag and sunglasses trying to look cool got owned by a big *** truck.

I would never own one the front wheel drive really kills it what the **** are they thinking. Imagine all the tq steer with just a tune and exhaust

forget about it.
