Changing Motor mounts 2003 tahoe
#3
Take the three frame to mount bolts out from the top with an extension and a 15mm swivel socket, get under the truck, lift engine up with a block of wood under the oil pan, and get the 2 front mount to block bolts with a shorter extension and swivel from the front of the crossmember and the two rearward bolts on each from behind the crossmember..... Wiggle old ones out and new ones in and bolt them back up....

You will do the tranny mount first but leave the 15mm nut that bolts to the crossmember loose. Less stress on the mount.
Next you will go from the top with a long extension. Close to 30 in with a 15mm swivel socket. That's for the driver side.
Next disconnect your battery as you will remove the starter. Will give you enough room to remove the mount without R&R the passenger side manifold.
To get the top bolts on the passenger side mount, remove the front tire and remove the fender liner that is in there. You can get to them with an extension about 5-10 inches with a swivel socket.
Then you will life the motor on the middle of the oil pan. (Block of wood will be nice to not do any damage as the motor will be fully rested on that jack or leg stand. Then it's a pain in the *** to use 3/8 swivel sockets on that which is why I use 1/4 15mm swivel socket and get the 4 bolts that are to the block. Then just repeat the steps backwards and boom you are done.
They call for .6 hrs to pull the tranny mount and 4.7 hours to do both front motor mounts. I can have them done almost 2 hours.
