i thought that stuff was supposed to increase fuel economy (reading here on the forum)

i took it off because the truck was WAY to loud for my taste and it went from 16.8mpg@70 to 13.6mpg@70 with the LT's and ORY

i'm hoping the 4.10's help a little aswell.. if not i have 3.73's and if that don;t do any better i will put the 3.42's back in...lol

i will keep everyone posted on the gear swap

did you have it retuned after the lt and ORY installation?? if you didnt then thats why your getting worse gas mileage, you need a retune after installing lt's....

if youve already said you had it retuned, sorry, i didnt feel like reading through all the posts

and as for it being loud, run a 22" magnaflow and it'll be plenty quiet

well i have been driving it around town today since 12pm and i filled it up before i started and just filled it back up... i put 88miles on it.. and it was 13.6mpg in stop and go traffic and driving a little harder that i did with the LT's on and with the LT's it would not get better than 12.2mpg around town!!!

I hated the 22" magnaflow. Annoying muffler. Sounded like **** and droned. Stock muffler is much better, same performance.

Remove the 26s for 16s and you'll gain 5 mpg guaranteed

I'm BARELY getting over 10mpg mixed with this winter gas

ive got 4.10's and 33's, exhuast and k&n filter and the gas mileage is horrible on the interestate. its horrible around town also lol the rpm's are a tad too high, but then again mine is a 3/4 ton truck made for pulling/work.... i would say go 3.73's since you drive on the highway

Has anyone tried using a vacuum gauge to get better highway fuel mileage?

Just curious. I don't care about mileage enough to try one, but it might help the OP if it works...

UPDATE...
I INSTALLED 4.10 GEARS AND IT HELPED ALOT!!!

17.2mpg @65mph/compared to 16.2mpg
16.7mpg @70mph/compared to 14.3mpg
16.5mpg @75mph/compared to 13.4mpg
12.8mpg around town/compared to 11.1mpg
15.4mpg with my 4-wheeler in the bed/compared to 13.6mpg
i am averaging 14.3mpg/compared to 12.5mpg

but it actually feels like it slowed the truck down?!?!?
