In the past my then wife had an oldsmobile alero and that thing went thru gas caps like crazy, and the ONLY way to get rid of the light was to take it into the dealership or so I was told, but it would never clear itself. I hated that car.
I will drive mine off of the seawall before I pay the dealership to clear the code for my gas cap! I need to get my computer recalibrated for my tires anyway so I might get all of that done. I got pulled over today for 56 in a 40. It was a buddy of mine so I got off with no ticket.

I know a good tuner. LOL.....

Fortunately I never had to pay to get the code cleared, it was just a hell of an inconvenience.

Oh, and if it matters any, when I talked to Heather when I got home, she said she had just gotten gas this morning. As soon as she cranked up the truck when leaving the gas station, is when the check engine light threw.
