Check out my great new ride!!!
This truck is awesome. I pick it up Thursday when the seller bank releases the title on my bank check. :-) I bought it for new family duty and general fun. I also still have my '02 z28, 148k mi. on it now, getting closer to needing some refurbishing, but still rocks.
The suburban has 104k on it and is pretty clean inside and out, and loaded too as far as I can tell. 2003 it is. I figure it's got to be good easily for five years, a real bargain at 8g's.
Came with a remote starter yet to be installed too.

No immediate plans. One thing I've thought about is to build up a spare built engine then decide later to put it in the z28 or the 'burban.
Other mods, I don't know what I'd do besides engine, the tires are brand new, maybe I'd put a modest few inches of lift and some 33" tires maybe. I bought it mainly for the wife to have something safe especially in the bad weather, so I want to keep it driveable. But it's not just for her, I'll be driving it some too when I feel like it, which I think will be often, the thing is pretty sweet. I can't believe how much car I got for 8 g's.

hmmmm maybe a turbo some day, I've always wanted to put one on my z too, but had it for 100k and haven't yet, but still maybe when I restore it. I'll need some spare change to pull that one off, so maybe not, but maybe.
What's an 80e?

ah, that I'm mildly familiar with. What transmission do we figure I have now? I believe the 4l80e came stock in the auto fbody 4th gens like mine though mine's a 6 speed manual.
Was the 4l80e optional on my truck? It is loaded to the hilt 1500 with the tow package, so I wonder if it already has it. Can I tell by the vin or RPO?
