My friend has a 02 Lightning, its fast. I am gaining on it though. It is completely stock.
Jerry did the pcm really help out? The intercooler should show a nice gain.

I think your truck is really impressive, it really shows how good the STS is. I questioned it when I first saw it. I decided to stay n/a and get a set of heads and a stall. You need a stall. Your truck makes me a STS beleiver.
I always thought a lighting was way faster than it really is. I quess it doesn't take much to build something as fast with a Bowtie!

I would like to put a stall, but then it wouldn't be worth a crap for towing .

Actually, Yank makes stalls that utilize factory towing specifications for all types of GM trucks. A 3000 yank is supposedly the godess of stall converters, it gives you that performance edge, yet retains towing capabilities.

My buddy CRAZYCUTER4.8 was pushing 488rwhp and running 12.6 with his 03' EC 4.8(3.73's/G80) before he put in a 224/224 cam and 3500 stall. He had normal bolt-ons(duals no cats,CAI,Self ported TB,shorties,212/218 cam,LS6 springs,3000 stall, and 200 dry/wet shot of n20) on stock bottom end, rear end,injectors,etc.. So your goal is pretty easily obtained with n20 and not to difficult without it! Heres how I see it if you have a 4.8 and you spend momey on all the bolt ons and you kill the 4.8 it all works with a LS1/LQ4/LQ9!

The 4.8l will make easy work of a L. my truck has a 4.8l in it and it kills lightnings. At least that is what the plate says
