Default Color changing LED needles for 99-06 clusters

I have been messing with my '02 Escalade cluster I had bought a while back. Since my Tahoe has been out of commission from the wreck, I've had more time to play around with it. Some of you know I had engineered LEDs under the needles that turned out pretty awesome. Even got the tach and speedo to color change to red in mid sweep! But now, I have found and put together the parts needed for full, on-demand, any color, any time, color changing needles through a phone app. Each needle base has multiple leds which can change color/brightness independently of each other! I have installed it in my '02 cluster and it looks sick! I already pulled my '05 cluster out to play with and looks like it will work/fit just fine in it as well. Maybe easier actually.
Here's a few pics. I'll have more

Needles only. No backlighting

Just an example of some colors

gotta say that's pretty slick!

you mentioned changing mid-sweep - does that mean you could independently program each one to maybe turn red (or flash) at specific angles... e.g., tach approaching redline, water temp above 230°, oil pressure below 35, etc?

oh, they can't share a common negative? if they could, that might cut 6 wires down to 4.

Well... short answer: No. These are special LEDs sprinkled with fairy dust. It would be nice tho. Easier and less wires usually gets my vote 👍🏻

My latest pics. This is my '05 cluster. Zero backlights

God Bless America

The needles will change red on the upper sweep on this preset

Actually, I've been thinking about that lately. Both of my Tahoes are at my bothers shop over 3 hrs away so makes it hard right now. Probably soon I'll be able to tinker with an adapter harness. From what I've read online it seems that just repinning the connector wires makes everything work except the fuel and oil pressure (I think it's those that read backwards) and the DIC.

Where is your brother located? You being in Houston means it is possible your brother is only an hour from me depending lol

You are correct that fuel and OP read backwards. You can make them reverse though I can't remember how. The DIC does work but just the normal trip counter.

Nope! The pics are from my '05. This set-up will work in 99-06 clusters for sure and most likely even the older ones and newer clusters '07+ (not sure cuz I've never had one to mess with)
