Well have a coolant leak and got the low coolant light today!
Looked for the leak when i got home and didnt find any leaks from the hoses or connectors. However i couldnt see **** cause all the intake and fan shroud in the way
However i did see some fluid on the bottom of what looked like the water pump. Is there anything I should look for and where should I look. What should i remove or move out of the way so I can actually tell where the leak is coming from.
I searched and found that most of the problems stem from the water pump / gaskets in water pump.
The truck is an 01 with the 5.3L and has 80K on it. Guessing its the water pump
Is replacing a water pump difficult? Is there a walkthrough or anything. Its my brothers truck so i dont know much about it
Sorry for all the questions.

Probably the gaskets but with 80k, I'd put a pump on it. Not hard to do. Remove- upper fan shroud, fan, belt, hoses from pump, 6 bolts hold the pump on. 20-30 minute job minus run time and refill with coolant.

Refill and see where it's leaking from, it could just be from a loose clamp or something.
if you do the pump, the most time consuming part will be removing the fan/fan clutch, the rest is pretty easy.
