Default Crate motor here! Got some questions

I picked up the LQ4 crate motor today. Looking over the instructions that came with it, I noticed they said to prelube the engine using Tool # J45299, which looks like a gas can with a hand pump and hose on it. My question is: Is there any good way to McGyver this? I don't really want to buy something like this that I'll only use once, although I will if necessary. If I need one, is there some place where I can get it quick and cheap?

Secondly, the engine is a long-block, and so has no flywheel. I thought I could swap the one from my 4.8 but I read elsewhere that this may not be the case. The 4.8 is a 2003, and the 6.0 is a reman 2005+ which is supposed to mate with the M32 (aka 4L65e) transmission. Anyone know for sure on this?

As always thanks for the help. PS. Did a search w/ no luck.

To lube the engine just pour oil in through the oil pressure sending unit hole, this will get enough oil into the galleys for the startup.

Many thanks to those who responded. I purchased a gear pump at NAPA which should address the prelubrication issue, and can also be used for other things. As for the flywheel, the true answer will only become known during assembly. If fitment issues arise they should be resolvable by a visit to the local junkyard.

your flywheel will work fine. if that motor was setup for a 4L80e that would only mean that it had a spacer attached to the crank, no other difference.
