Crazy thing happened tonight
I was on Memorial DR. tonight just cruisin and I was doin the speed limit,and when I look in my rearview mirror I saw a truck weaving in and out of traffic and when he got beside me he stayed side by side with me.I waited till we got to the light ahead of us.I had my window down and he asked what I had in it,and I said a 350 and I said,you have a 5.3,and he said yes.Well he asked if I wanted to run and I could not resist,I wanted to see if this 5.3 would beat me.When the light was green I hammered down and right there it was over,I smoked his *** right off the line and by 60mph I had him by 5 lengths or so, I had quit at 60mph and he flew past me and kept goin.I thought he was goin to hit the car in front of him,it scared the hell out of me.Anyways I thought I would post this,I could not beleive I beat him that bad,it was awesome.Oh yeah his was stock I think,he had factory exhaust but I dont know if he had an intake,I doubt it

Him. What did your truck dyno at? With your mods you are getting around what a stock 5.3 puts down. Not starting a flame war between the old 5.7 and the 5.3.

Went last Sat.to Navasota which is only an 1/8mile and ran a 9.63 at 74MPH.That run was the new best time.When I had it dynoed it put down 240rwhp and 326 rwtq.I know the 5.3's are faster but I think the 350's can run damn good with bolt ons.But yeah the 5.3's run fast off the show room floor.I also have 176,900miles on my truck with the original engine but on the 3rd tranny.I know 1badHD your not flaming me,but I think you would suprised what it runs like with the 3.90 gears,and the westers PCM.
